ORGANISATIONAL SET UP OF POLICE ENGINEERING PROJECT:  (PEP)

The Department of Police Engineering Project is headed by the Chief Engineer with its supporting engineers comprising of one Superintending Engineer, four Executive Engineers, one Architect, and a good numbers of  Subordinate Engineers (both Civil and Electrical) and other Technical officers to supervise all nature of works in their respective jurisdiction extended to 11(eleven) districts. The PEP works as an independent technical wing and as an executing agency for the Police for any infrastructural works which includes buildings, roads, water supply, electricity etc.  In addition to the above ranks structure of the executive force, the Police Engineering Department also has different categories of the employees to provide effective administrative and functional support to the organization. Ministerial Staff consist of the ranks like HA, Upper Division Assistant (U.D.A.), Lower Division Clerk (L.D.A.), Support Staff, and secretarial Staff like Stenographers etc. Technical Staff would consist of the personnel recruited for Motor Transport, Civil and Electrical Wing of the Police Engineering Department.
